Everyone wants to look our best and people spend a lot of money to make sure that they do. But for some reason, spending money on hair color isn’t at the top of that list. This may have something to do with box color that is cheap and anyone can do it themselves. But there is a huge problem with this cheap replacement – it completely ruins hair. It is not just a treat to go to a salon, for Pine Island locals it is a priority. If you choose to dye your hair, then you need to save the money to see a professional or you might as well say ‘bye-bye’ to the condition of your hair.
Is using box color really that bad?
Absolutely. Don’t let that actress on the box fool you – they spent hundreds getting their hair to look like that and the box color had no part in it. This is false advertising at its worst and yet people still seem to believe it.
Why is it so bad for hair?
No one person is alike and that same thing goes for each individual’s hair. There is no way that an untrained eye can understand the complexities of how to get your current color to the color you wish it would be – and a box color is definitely not going to do that for you. It is not only about the color you’re looking for but the condition of your hair is at risk. Box color damages the hair and coming back from that is nearly impossible.
It’s not worth the money saved initially because once you’ve damaged the condition of your hair the cost of bringing your hair back is going to be far more than the initial cost of getting your hair done at a salon. Pine Island women have been trusting their hair care with our salon for years. We want others to understand how important the look and quality of your hair is really is! It may be what is on the inside that counts but having beautiful hair is definitely a plus!
