Salons and beautician professionals are like many other industries with regard to the fact that the changing of the seasons often prompts individuals to seek out specific goods or services. Hair acts a little differently in the winter months when colder temperatures become normalized when compared to the summer months of the year. Another factor that professionals notice while working in a salon, Holiday residents are more included to choose aesthetics for their hair based off of what is popular at the time, and there are some winter trends that people might be getting but do not notice they are something more common during a specific time of their year.
Longer Hair Styles are More Popular in Winter
Something that people may not notice that is popular around the colder months of the year is that individuals often let their hair style is a little longer than what they are normally used two. One reason for this is because more hair indirectly means more warmth, but also this is also common because hair does not grow as fast as it does during the summer months. When it is winter and someone goes to a salon, Holiday residents often do not cut off as much hair, since it takes longer to reach a desired length.
Darker Colors are More Common in Winter
If you are someone who likes to add color to your hair, you might not have noticed that you are more likely to choose a darker color during this time period at the salon. Holiday residents during the warmer months might choose lighter colors like a natural blonde or a bold pink color to stand out, but often times in the winter months people choose darker colors and lowlights. Some colors that are more popular during this time of their year would be dark browns as a natural color, but also reds, blues, and greens if someone is looking to color their hair that isn’t a natural color.
