Having acrylic nails can be a fun way to add some color or design to your appearance without it being that noticeable or flashy. Yet nothing is worse than getting a new set of acrylic nails, only to shortly get a break in one of them. There is no end all be all way to protect your nails, but there are some ways someone can prevent a situation that causes a crack in their acrylic nails. Lake Lindsey residents should be aware that most of the time it is outside forces in day-to-day life that end up breaking the nails, and not anything that is wrong with the acrylic nail itself.
Keep Your Nails at a Shorter Length
Some individuals love the look of longer nails, but it is much easier to break or crack a nail that is long, especially if you are not used to such a length. When it comes to acrylic nails, Lake Lindsey residents should try to find a shorter length that is comfortable for them. This does require additional maintenance from time to time, but it is more than worth it if you can save a nail from being broken and having to be replaced.
Wear Waterproof Gloves When Doing House Work
One of the items that we come in contact with every day that could potentially be making your acrylic nails weaker is water. Water is not dangerous itself, but over time, they are known to soften and weaken acrylic nails. Lake Lindsey residents must wash their hands throughout the day, and why they do, it is important to take an extra moment to make sure your hands are really dry. If you are trying to avoid water as much as possible throughout the day, it may be beneficial to clean your nails with rubbing alcohol.
